Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in Lakeview Monday night that resulted in an arrest.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 9:30 PM to a home on Elm Street in Lakeview after a caller reported that his neighbor, showed up saying, Ashley Miller, 32, of Lakeview, had assaulted him.

Deputies found the victim with visible injuries, including a cut on his cheek and swelling around his eye.

He told deputies that Miller became angry and hit him in the face with a glass during an argument.

Deputies went to a nearby home and found Miller, who was wearing a bath towel and holding a dog.

When deputies attempted to take her into custody, she resisted arrest, and the dog bit one of the deputies, causing a minor injury.

Miller was eventually handcuffed and taken to the Logan County Jail.

She was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest.

During a later interview at the jail, Miller denied attacking the victim and claimed that he had previously thrown objects at her, including a candle two days earlier, that left a bruise.

Deputies noted bruising on her body and a cut on her thumb, which she said happened when she cleaned up broken glass from the candle.

Miller has a prior domestic violence conviction from 2023.
