The Triad Local Schools Board of Education met in regular session Monday evening, their first meeting of 2026.
The meeting was preceded by an organizational meeting, highlighted by the nomination and subsequent reelection of Chris Millice as the Board President and Randy Moore as the Board Vice President.
Treasurer Nathan Hilborn administered the swearing-in of two board members who were reelected back in November: Kyle Huffman and Mike Perry. Both have begun new four-year terms to be served through 2030.
In other business, the Board learned the high school will be testing out various methods of giving out their hall passes in an effort to keep children in the classroom and engaged with the learning environment, while mitigating hallway traffic.
the Board also approved two volunteers in the music department in Holly Levings and Noelle King for the remainder of the school year.
Superintendent Vickie Maruniak says there are three things she wants to see the district accomplish in 2026.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, at 7:00 pm at the Triad Community Room.
