Early Monday morning, just after midnight, Yvonne Jackson, a missing woman from Celina, was found safe near Kiser Lake on State Route 235.
Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed a car parked along the road and approached the driver to tell her the road was closed ahead due to an accident.
Jackson said she was trying to get to Celina but was lost.
After checking her identification, officers confirmed she was listed as a missing person.
Her family, who had been searching nearby, was contacted.
They then arrived on the scene and took her home.
