A Bellefontaine woman was cited following a crash involving a mobility scooter Friday afternoon in Bellefontaine.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, the crash happened shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of East Sandusky Avenue and North Main Street.
Police say Rebecca Savidge, 29, of Bellefontaine, was driving a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica westbound on East Sandusky Avenue and was stopped at a red light.
At the same time, Laurie Cowan, 64, of Bellefontaine, was crossing East Sandusky from north to south in the crosswalk on a mobility scooter.
Investigators determined that Savidge failed to yield the right of way and struck the left side of Cowan’s scooter.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded to the scene and treated Cowan for minor injuries.
Savidge was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
