Brittnie Whetsel, 32, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident that happened early Monday morning.
Marcus Hagans, 37, of Springfield, was driving a Polaris Slingshot on County Road 29 when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the roadway into a tree line.
He overturned the vehicle and it came to a final rest on its top.
Both Whetsel and Hagans were transported from the scene to Mary Rutan Hospital for suspected serious injuries.
According to Logan County Sheriff Deputies, Hagans was possibly under the influence of medications, drugs, or alcohol at the time of the crash.
The crash continues to remain under investigation.
