Judge Kevin P. Braig of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas on Monday sentenced Jeremiah Monk to an aggregate mandatory prison term of 30 years to life.
According to a press release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Monk was initially arrested on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, after Logan County detectives and FBI agents conducted a joint investigation into the illegal creation, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Through that investigation, authorities identified 22-year-old Jeremiah Monk of West Liberty as a suspect.
With help from Logan County Children’s Services, investigators executed a search warrant at his residence and seized multiple electronic devices. Monk was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Logan County Jail.
He was initially charged with two counts of rape involving a victim under the age of 13, along with three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
Monk ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of rape (first-degree felonies), two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor (second-degree felonies), and sexual conduct with an animal (a second-degree misdemeanor).
He was immediately remanded to begin serving his sentence.
