The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that Saturday night at approximately 10:15 they received a report of a woman driving intoxicated in the Russells Point area.

Deputies found the suspected vehicle on 33 heading toward Bellefontaine. They observed the suspect slow down to 45mph in a 70 mph zone and then accelerate to 90mph.

A traffic stop was initiated.

Authorities approached the vehicle and noticed two children and a dog inside along with the driver, Ashley Miller.

Miller said she was emotionally upset and that was the reasoning behind her driving behavior.

Deputies noticed signs of impairment.

She told authorities she had one beer several hours prior to driving.

Miller agreed to a field sobriety test and failed.

The children’s father came to pick them up.

Miller was transported to the Logan County Jail where she consented to a breath test which resulted in a .151. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.

She was given citations for OMVI, OMVI BAC over .08, and speed (90 in a 70mph zone).

Additional charges of endangering children will be sent to the Logan County Municipal Court for review.
