According to Bellefontaine Police, a motorcycle pursuit on Friday night ended with the arrest of a local man for failure to comply with police.
Officers say they first witnessed the male operator, later identified as Austin Henry, 31, of Bellefontaine, revving his black sportbike’s engine at a red light on North Main Street and East Sandusky Avenue without wearing eye protection.
As officers attempted to follow, Henry was seen weaving through heavy traffic and accelerating quickly.
The pursuit continued southbound on US 68 and then westbound onto Township Road 190, with the motorcycle reaching speeds near 90 MPH.
After traveling approximately half a mile, Henry pulled over and was taken into custody.
Henry was confrontational with officers during the stop and was ultimately booked at Logan County Jail for Failure to Comply.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
