Tristian Long, 35 of Cincinnati, passed away from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident Saturday evening just after 7 PM.
Long was Northbound on US 68 outside of Bellefontaine, traveling at nearly 70 MPH, when he attempted to pass a vehicle operated by Charles Thurman of Bellefontaine.
He clipped the left rear corner of Thurman’s truck, causing him to travel into the Southbound lane, where he collided head-on with a truck driven by Ellis Bibbs of Russells Point.
Thurman was then rear-ended by Avery Davis of West Liberty.
Long passed away at the scene, and his body was transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s office by the Jennings Farley Funeral Home.
He was not wearing a helmet.
Davis was taken to the Mary Rutan Hospital for minor injuries.
