Multiple car accidents on State Route 540 interrupted Friday afternoon traffic in Bellefontaine.
At around 2:45 pm, a driver attempted to pass another vehicle in front of the Loves Gas Station near the US 33 exit.
The driver lost control of his car and left the road.
The vehicle hit a drainage ditch, causing it to overturn.
Shortly after, another accident occurred on the US 33 West entrance ramp, less than 50 yards down the road.
The driver of a silver car lost control of their vehicle and ended up off the roadway, as well.
No injuries were reported in either accident.
Both remain under investigation.
