National Day of Prayer held at the Logan County Courthouse

A National Day of Prayer ceremony was held at noon at the north side of the Logan County Courthouse today.

The ceremony began with music presented by the Bellefontaine Grace Worship Team. Many community leaders and pastors from local churches took part in prayers for the support of individuals, families, communities, schools, armed forces, and the nation.

Kevin Greenwald, Pastor from the First Christian Church, explains the importance of National Day of Prayer.

An opening prayer was led by Dave Bezusko from the United Way of Logan County.

The prayer for individuals was led by Ben Stahler, Mayor of Bellefontaine.

Ben Vollrath, from the Logan County Chamber, led the prayer for families.

Joe Antram, Logan County Commissioner, said the prayer for the community.

Ethan Bunce, from the Bellefontaine Grace Church, said the prayer for schools.

A prayer for armed services was led by Larry Novak from the First Lutheran Church.

The prayer for the nation was led by Aaron Tanner, a representative for Trail Life USA.

Kevin Greenwald led the Benediction.

The Bellefontaine Grace Worship Team closed the ceremony with Because He Lives.

Greenwald encourages those to attend next year’s National Day of Prayer ceremony at the Courthouse.
