National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) kicks off today, Sunday, May 7. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the annual industry celebration.

Travel stimulates the U.S. economy and helps power the success of other industries. The U.S. travel industry generated a $2.6 trillion economic output in 2022 and supported 15 million jobs, fueling communities, small businesses, and working families nationwide.

Locally, tourism continues to be a vital part of our economy.  Logan County has numerous attractions that are top spots for visitors.

Indian Lake, Mad River Mountain, Ohio Caverns, Zane Shawnee Caverns, Piatt Castles, Marie’s Candies, Campbell Hill, the first concrete street in America, and Marmon Valley Farm are great destinations to visit in our community.

Over the next week, we’ll take an in-depth look into some of Logan County’s top tourist destinations.

Check back on Monday for our first featured attraction on PeakofOhio.com.
