A Bellefontaine woman faces felony charges after allegedly evading police during a traffic stop on Friday evening.
Just before 6 PM, Bellefontaine Police saw 36-year-old Lindsey Nickles driving a green Kia Sportage near Orchard Avenue and North Detroit Street.
They knew that Nickles was driving with a suspended license and tried to stop her.
Nickles reportedly sped through multiple alleys and residential streets, driving at a high rate of speed and did not stop at stop signs.
The pursuit ended when officers found the Kia parked behind a residence on North Park Street, Nickles’ registered address.
She was entering the home and complied with officers’ instructions to return to the vehicle.
Nickles admitted to seeing police lights and sirens but continued driving to avoid being stopped due to her suspended license.
Due to her actions, Nickles was arrested and charged with failure to comply, a third-degree felony.
She was transported to the Logan County Jail, and her vehicle was towed.
