A Bellefontaine man was cited for failing to yield the right of way after causing a minor traffic accident on Friday afternoon, just before 4 p.m.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department, Grant Timmons, 66, was driving a 2024 Honda Accord on South Main Street when he made a left turn onto Lake Avenue, into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Tricia Clair, 33, of Huntsville, was traveling north on South Main Street in her 2011 Honda CR-V when she collided with the passenger side of Timmons’ vehicle.
Timmons admitted to officers that he did not see Clair’s vehicle approaching before making the turn.
Despite the impact, neither driver was injured in the accident.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
