A North Lewisburg woman was arrested early Christmas morning following a reported domestic violence incident in Rush Township, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a residence in the 700 block of Mill Street around 1:30 a.m. on December 25 for a domestic dispute.
Authorities say the incident involved physical harm during an altercation with a juvenile family member.
Forty-six-year-old Shawna Fisher of North Lewisburg was taken into custody and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail, where she was booked on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.
The juvenile involved was reported to have apparent minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
