Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Washington Township & Russells Point Police Departments responded to a domestic call in Lakeview Thursday afternoon.

The suspect, Daniel Oakley, 34, ran out the back window of the residence and towards a creek past the backyard.

Deputies and several other units searched for Oakley, but could not locate him.

A witness advised that Oakley had struck the victim in the face before he left the residence. They also said that Oakley took the victim’s cell phone.

Neighbors of the residence advised they saw him run out the back of his home and down to the creek behind their backyard.

Around 9:40 that night, authorities responded back to South Union Street. A witness informed deputies that Oakley returned back to the residence.

Oakley was placed under arrest for domestic violence and disrupting public services, and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Oakley was previously booked into the Logan County Jail on July 24 for felonious domestic violence.
