ODNR encourages fishing at Indian Lake

As the weather turns and the water temperature warms here in the Buckeye State, the seasonal fishing activity will begin to pick up. The fish will become much more active as they begin to spawn. Now is a great time to get outdoors and bait your hook and wet your line. Anglers can find great success right now at catching bluegill, crappie, saugeye, channel catfish, flathead catfish, largemouth bass, white bass, and perch.

Indian Lake is a valuable, local resource that we have in our own backyard.

Ohio anglers are reminded to obtain a valid Ohio fishing license prior to engaging in fishing in Ohio waters.

Fishing licenses can be purchased from our mobile app, HuntFishOH, from a local license agent (Lakeside Pro Bass, Lakeview Hardware, Bud’s Marine) or online at www.wildohio.gov .

The Ohio Division of Wildlife uses fishing license dollars for the annual stocking of fish at Indian Lake. The Ohio Division of Wildlife annually stocks nearly 5 million saugeye fry into Indian Lake.
