The Logan County Engineer’s Office has announced upcoming resurfacing work by the Shelly Company on two county roads.
Crews will be working between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. Roads will remain open for emergency vehicles and local traffic only—no thru traffic will be permitted.
Flagging personnel will be in place to direct vehicles, but drivers should expect delays and are urged to plan alternate routes.

- Monday, September 15, 2025 – County Road 117, from State Route 292 to the County Line
- Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – County Road 5, from County Road 25 to State Route 540
Drivers are reminded to slow down in construction zones, especially at intersections and bridges where cut butt joints can create bumps.
The Engineer’s Office recommends speeds of 15 mph or less in those areas.
Additionally, after the chip seal has been applied, motorists are encouraged to travel no faster than 20 mph on the first day and no faster than 30 mph for at least seven days to allow the new surface to cure properly.
All resurfaced areas will remain no-passing zones until fall.
Scheduling may change due to weather conditions.
County officials thank residents for their patience as crews work to improve the roadways.
