The Ohio Department of Transportation is advising motorists of several construction projects that will affect travel in Champaign County this week.

The biggest change is a temporary closure of State Route 4 for railroad crossing repairs.

Indiana and Ohio Railroad will close the crossing on State Route 4 between Neer Road and Hawk Road beginning Monday and continuing through Friday.

Drivers will be detoured using State Route 56 west to State Route 29 east and back to State Route 4.

Several long-term paving projects will also continue this week.

State Route 29 between State Route 235 and State Route 560 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Traffic will be maintained with flaggers while crews continue repaving the roadway.

State Route 245 between Brush Lake Road and Gilbert Road will also have intermittent single-lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as paving work continues.
