The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced several road construction projects and traffic impacts that will affect Logan County highways this week. All work is weather permitting.
New Impacts
Motorists traveling on U.S. 33 should expect temporary full closures Sunday morning.
U.S. 33 in both directions will be subject to short-term intermittent closures at Township Road 56 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 17.
Traffic will be stopped for periods of up to 15 minutes while crews complete overhead utility work.
Traffic will be maintained through rolling roadblocks with assistance from law enforcement officers.
Continuing Impacts
Several resurfacing projects across Logan County continue this week with daytime lane restrictions.
State Route 235 between State Route 720 and the Hardin/Logan County line will intermittently be reduced to a single lane from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through July.
Traffic will be maintained with a flagging operation while crews repave the roadway.
State Route 274 between the Rushsylvania corporation limits and State Route 273 will also be intermittently reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through July for roadway repaving work.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
State Route 366 between State Route 235 and U.S. 33 will continue under intermittent single-lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through July as crews repave the roadway.
State Route 117 between the Hardin/Logan County line and State Route 274 will intermittently be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August.
Traffic will be maintained with a flagging operation during resurfacing work.
State Route 245 between the Mad River east of West Liberty and the Champaign/Logan County line will also be intermittently reduced to a single lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August while crews repave the roadway.
State Route 287 between State Route 245 and U.S. 33 will continue with intermittent one-lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August for resurfacing work.
State Route 638 between U.S. 68 and Township Road 51 will be intermittently reduced to a single lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August.
Traffic there will also be maintained by flaggers while crews repave the roadway.
County Road 55 remains closed over U.S. 33 for bridge joint replacement work.
The posted detour routes drivers from Township Road 55 to County Road 10.
In addition, U.S. 33 near the State Route 55 bridge will continue under intermittent lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through mid-May while crews replace bridge joints overhead.
