The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 7 is inviting public comments on a proposed sidewalk improvement project along Brown Avenue in Bellefontaine.
The project aims to install a new 5-foot sidewalk on the north side of Brown Avenue, extending from the westernmost entrance to Bellefontaine Cemetery to Hillcrest Drive.
Plans also include the construction of a retaining wall, installation of handrails, new crosswalk striping, and curb ramps designed to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2026.
Residents and community members are encouraged to submit their feedback to ODOT during the public comment period as the project moves forward.
