Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson has launched a new initiative encouraging law enforcement officers and the public to share acts of kindness happening across the state.
The “Heart of Kindness” initiative challenges Ohioans to submit at least 250 acts of kindness to the Attorney General’s Office by the end of the year.
The campaign is being held during the nation’s 250th birthday year and is intended to highlight positive interactions between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.
Examples could include an officer helping a motorist change a tire, rescuing a trapped pet or volunteering at a charitable event.
Members of the public could also participate by buying an officer a cup of coffee, sending a thank-you note or helping an officer during inclement weather.
The initiative is being conducted in partnership with Kindland.
Acts of kindness can be submitted through the Ohio Attorney General’s website or by emailing [email protected].
Selected submissions will be featured on the Attorney General’s social media channels.
The first 250 eligible submissions will receive a limited-edition challenge coin from the Attorney General’s Office.
The deadline to submit an act of kindness is December 31.
