Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be flown at half-staff at all public buildings and grounds across the state.

The gesture honors the life and service of three members of the Ohio Air National Guard who were killed during Operation Epic Fury.

The flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of the airmen’s funerals.

Governor DeWine’s order will be updated once the U.S. Department of War officially confirms the identities of the fallen service members.

This solemn act serves as a tribute to the dedication and sacrifice of Ohio’s service members in defense of the nation.
