The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center wrapped up 2025 Wednesday night, saying goodbye to a longtime board member, Anne Reames.

Reames has been the Bellefontaine City Schools representative on the Ohio Hi-Point board for 21 years, and served as President for the past 18.

Reames also served on the BCS board for 30-plus years.

BCS Superintendent Brad Hall shared the following at the meeting:

“On behalf of the Bellefontaine City School District Board of Education, students, staff, and community we serve, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Anne Reames for her remarkable 30½ years of dedicated service to the Bellefontaine Board of Education. Anne’s leadership, integrity, and thoughtful approach to decision-making have had a lasting impact on our district and me. As superintendent, I appreciated her wisdom, thoughtfulness, and deep history of the district. She helped guide generations of students, staff, and families. Anne’s commitment to public education has been unwavering, and her steady presence has been invaluable during times of both growth and challenge. In addition, Anne’s 20-plus years of service on the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board of Education demonstrate her strong belief in expanding opportunities for students beyond our district. Through her work here, she has helped ensure that students have access to career pathways that prepare them for success in life and the workforce. We are deeply grateful for Anne’s decades of service, her passion for education, and the legacy she leaves behind. Anne, your Bellefontaine community of leaders and learners thank you and wish you all the best in your well-earned retirement.”
