The Culinary Arts students at Ohio Hi-Point brought the spirit of the season to campus this week, hosting a shared Thanksgiving Feast with the Education Academy. Students prepared a full holiday spread, showcasing both their kitchen skills and teamwork. The school’s cafeteria also joined in the celebration, serving a traditional Thanksgiving lunch for all students.
Guests enjoyed classic favorites such as turkey, mashed potatoes, baked mac and cheese, stuffing, and seasonal vegetables. Juniors from the Education Academy led the dessert table, serving pumpkin pie, chocolate cake, and other homemade treats.
The event doubled as a celebration and a hands-on learning opportunity, giving students real-world experience in large-scale food preparation, menu planning, and hospitality. Faculty say the feast is a yearly highlight, offering students a chance to shine while bringing the campus community together.
Culinary Instructor Louie Ortega offered comments on how his students prepared for this event and spoke about the importance of this experience for the students.
