The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle submersion in the Clarence J. Brown Reservoir in Clark County late Friday evening.
At approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, troopers responded to a report of a vehicle in the water.
Upon arrival, first responders located a pickup truck that had been traveling northbound on Buck Creek Lane when it failed to negotiate a curve and entered the reservoir.
The driver, Anessa Kinnaird, 43, of Urbana, and a passenger, Chad McGee, 51, of Urbana, had already exited the vehicle and were transported to a local hospital by a friend.
Kinnaird was admitted for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
McGee was not injured in the crash.
Alcohol impairment is suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Moorefield Township Fire and Rescue.
The Buck Creek boat launch remained closed Saturday as efforts to recover the vehicle continued.
