A Perrysburg man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter after a crash in Logan County last year that left a Bryan woman dead.

34-year-old Ephantus Osoro was charged last week in the Bellefontaine Municipal Court and entered a guilty plea.

The court found him guilty.

Osoro was fined $450 and assessed court costs of $115, and his driver’s license is suspended for two years.

He was given a 90-day jail sentence, with 80 days suspended, leaving 10 days to serve.

Osoro was lodged in the Logan County Jail on Friday afternoon.

He must also complete two years of probation, 100 hours of community service, and follow rules, including staying law-abiding, attending all probation meetings, and submitting to random drug and alcohol tests.

The crash happened on the morning of June 4, 2025, on State Route 117 in Huntsville.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2023 Volkswagen Taos driven by Osoro was traveling southbound behind a Tesla Model 3 driven by Taylor Stanchin, 28, of Leo, Indiana.

Osoro struck the rear of the Tesla.

The impact caused Osoro to veer into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2024 Kia Soul driven by Ashley M. Thomas, 37, of Bryan.

Thomas died from her injuries on Saturday, June 7, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Stanchin was not injured.

Osoro was flown by MedFlight to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries.
