Nearly 400 flags now line State Route 47, stretching from the Bellefontaine City Corporation Line to State Route 235, thanks to the efforts of the Winner family and local volunteers.
The display features a mix of American and Trump/Vance flags, creating a striking visual tribute to patriotism.
Renee Winner, a leading organizer, emphasized the importance of respecting property rights and ensuring that the flags were placed safely, avoiding the right of way.
“Ultimately, flying the American flag is an honorable act. As citizens of the United States, we’ve been given a great privilege to express our patriotism through our flags, and we should take full advantage of this!” she stated.
Winner said that the whole family took part in prepping the flags to fly, even some of the younger members of the brood.
The initiative has garnered positive attention from the community, drawing visitors who come to admire the vibrant display.
The flags stand as a reminder of unity and pride, capturing the spirit of the community and its commitment to honoring the nation.
