Monday evening, Bellefontaine Police successfully apprehended 37-year-old Audric Clay, a suspect with a nationwide warrant, for drug trafficking, during a routine patrol in Bellefontaine.
At approximately 7:45 PM, detectives from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the BPD Criminal Patrol Unit and BPD K9 Unit, located Clay walking eastbound on East Sandusky Avenue near North Park Street.
Clay, who was already out on bond for a separate drug trafficking charge in Logan County, was taken into custody without incident.
During the arrest, officers recovered $772 in cash and a cell phone from Clay, both of which were seized and entered into police evidence for further investigation.
Clay was transported to the Logan County Jail and is being held on his outstanding nationwide felony warrant.
The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by authorities to combat drug trafficking and ensure that those with outstanding warrants are brought to justice.
