Bellefontaine Police arrested a wanted man after a foot chase near the railroad tracks on Friday.
Police were called to the area of Pratt Street after a report of a man walking along the tracks wearing a black coat and blue jeans.
Officers believed the man was 45-year-old Trenton Mathews, who had a warrant for his arrest.
They followed fresh footprints in the snow for about a mile, which led them to a makeshift campsite in the woods.
As officers approached, Mathews ran toward the tracks.
Police chased him through the woods and along the tracks, repeatedly telling him to stop.
He eventually ran onto a path, where he was taken into custody.
Mathews was taken to the Logan County Jail, where he was served his warrant and charged with obstructing official business.
No injuries were reported.
