Bellefontaine Police are investigating after a FedEx truck reportedly hit the Sherwin-Williams building on Friday afternoon and drove away.
Officers were called to Sherwin-Williams, 316 South Main Street, around 2:30 p.m. after employees reported that a truck had hit the building and left the area.
Employees told police they heard a loud crash while they were inside the store.
When they went outside, they found that paint stacked along the south wall had been knocked over and the brick wall had been cracked and pushed inward.
Police also found damage to a parking block behind the neighboring business.
Investigators found tire marks showing the vehicle had dual rear wheels, along with white paint left on the brick wall.
Employees told officers a FedEx truck had made a delivery around the time of the crash.
Police reviewed surveillance video from Speedway and said it showed a FedEx truck striking the Sherwin-Williams building at about 2:14 p.m., then driving to Speedway to make a delivery.
Officers also obtained a photo of a passenger who got out of the FedEx truck at Speedway.
The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
