Thursday, Bellefontaine Police returned found money and a money clip to its rightful owner after an unusual incident at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Earlier in the day, hospital security was approached by a man who reported finding a money clip containing cash in the hospital’s parking lot.
The man told security he had seen another man drop the money clip before getting into his vehicle and driving off.
After investigation, the vehicle’s registration led authorities to identify the owner as Ronald Hadley.
Detectives found Mr. Hadley at the hospital and were able to return his property.
