According to reports, shortly before 2 a.m., a 2018 Ford F-350 driven by 46-year-old Charles Wallace of Kenton was making a left-hand turn into a private driveway in the 11000 block when it was struck by a 2015 Hyundai Elantra.

The Hyundai, driven by 37-year-old Michael Decker of Lima, was attempting to overtake the F-350 at the time of the collision.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Decker was issued a citation for overtaking and passing.

Investigators noted that illness is believed to have been a factor in the crash, and that Decker’s speed was estimated at 65 MPH in the 55 MPH zone.
