A power outage late Monday afternoon left homes and businesses in Bellefontaine without electricity, disrupting daily operations and traffic flow in the city.
The outage began around 3:30 PM.
Some traffic lights at intersections around the city were also knocked out.
Police officers were dispatched to direct traffic to ensure public safety manually.
Officials have not yet released the cause of the outage, but crews from the utility company were seen working in the area.
AES Ohio says they hope to have power restored around 9:00 PM.
