Bellefontaine Police were called to the 100 block of West Brown Avenue Monday after a man threatened to burn a house down with four people still inside.
John Prater, 63, of Bellefontaine, was arrested by police after he made the threats.
He then threatened to cut the head off one of the victims.
He was arrested for aggravated menacing and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
