Prince Named Pee Wee Showmanship Champion

Sunday afternoon kicked off the 2024 show season in the sheep barn at the Champaign County Fair.

To start the day, Sophia Pullins, a rising Junior from Mechanicsburg FFA received her title as the 2024 Champaign County Lamb Ambassador.

Pullins shows breeding Dorpers and competes in many FFA activities throughout the year!

Next was the 2024 Guys & Gals Lead-In, the results are as follows:

Ages 4-5:

  • 1st Place: Jacob Dagger
  • 2nd Place: Brynna Flanigan
  • 3rd Place: Annabelle Miller

Ages 7-11:

  • 1st Place: Lyla Smith
  • 2nd Place: Tinley Johnson
  • 3rd Place: Eleanor Miller

Ages 17-18:

  • 1st Place: Journey Gump
  • 2nd Place: Allison Harlan

The handmade award went to Jacob Dagger.

 

Next, exhibitors competed in the lamb judging contest.

Many kids took advantage of this contest as it continues to grow.

The overall champion for judging went to Allison Harlan from Liberty Salem Livestock 4H Club.

To finish out the day, young showmen were put to the test bringing their “A Game” for Pee Wee Showmanship.

Sadie Prince from the 5-year-old division took home the 2024 Grand Champion Pee Wee Showman title.

  • 2nd Place: Martha Woodruff
  • 3rd Place: Jayden Davis

7 Year Olds:

  • 1st Place: Carter Prince
  • 2nd Place: Lyla Smith
  • 3rd Place: Miley Ohnmeiss

6 Year Olds:

  • 1st Place: Gracelynn Whitt
  • 2nd Place: Evie Jackson

5 Year Olds:

  • 1st Place: Sadie Prince
  • 2nd Place: RaeLee North
  • 3rd Place: Cameron Ohnmeiss

4 Year Olds:

  • 1st Place: Emrik McCann
  • 2nd Place: Brynna Flanigan
  • 3rd Place: Kinsley Francis

3 Year Olds:

  • 1st Place: Wynter Wilson
  • 2nd Place: Harper Hess
  • 3rd Place: Case Linsky
