Indian Lake High School has announced their Seniors of the Month for February, Owen Pummel and Addison Stinemetz.
Owen Pummel is the son of Rick and Keely Pummel of Russells Point.
School Activities and Awards: Wrestling 3x state qualifier, 2x state placer
If I were principal for a day: I would run everything like a regular school day.
Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is eating lunch in Mr. Steinbarger’s room every day.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: Haydn Pummel, Ryan Dickson, and Kevin Christman
Lately, I’ve been reading: nothing
My advice to parents: Make sure to support your kid’s endeavors.
My biggest regret: I regret not taking enough care of my body.
Next year I will be: Attending Northern Michigan University to study Biology and Ecology while wrestling there.
Addison Stinemetz is the daughter of Jon and Shannon Stinemetz of Russells Point.
School Activities and Awards: I participate in Softball, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Kiwanis Key Club, Science Club, and National Honor Society. The awards I have received are Honda Achievement Breakfast, Booster Award, Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and Buckeye Conference Scholar Athlete.
If I were principal for a day: I would host an in-school softball game for the students to decompress and a 2-hour early release.
Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip because it was a lot of fun and memories that I have to hold on to. It was the most fun I have ever had that involved learning.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: People who have been an inspiration to me are my parents.
Lately, I’ve been reading: The Golden Compass
My advice to parents: Push your kids to be their best, but not too hard because then it gets stressful.
My biggest regret: I regret not taking Accounting.
Next year I will be: Attending college to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice in hopes of becoming a criminal profiler.
