Thursday Evening Man Hunt Comes up Empty Handed

Thursday evening, Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of County Road 10 and State Route 33.

The driver is a suspect in an ongoing drug investigation and failed to yield to officers.

He led them on a brief pursuit out State Route 47, where he crashed into a cornfield just beyond the Bellefontaine Airport.

When the car came to a rest, the man fled on foot.

Several deputies, officers from other departments, K9s, and drones joined the search.

After several hours officials came up empty-handed.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said the man is not a danger to the public and is described as an African-American who is about 5’9 and weighs about 265 lbs.
