The November Benjamin Logan High School Seniors of the Month are Josey Queen and Elliot Carpenter.

Josey Queen is the daughter of Grace and Dan Queen of Rushsylvania.

School activities and awards: Spanish NHS, FCA, ROC, National Honor Society, and ROOTS Awards: Honda Breakfast, Raider Awards, Academic Letters, JV Softball Awards, All Academic Sports Team, and Science Fair Excellent Ratings.

If I were principal for a day: I would let the elementary students come over for lunch with the high school students.

Favorite school memory: Listening to “Boyfriend Forever” on repeat in pre-calculus every day.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents, my older sister, Mr. Smith, Profa Hughes, Mr. Kettler, Mrs. Gibson, and Mrs. Kavanagh. All of these people have been a big part of my academic journey.

Lately, I have been reading: The Lucky List by Rachael Lippincott.

My advice to parents: Trust that sometimes growth comes from letting your kids figure out some things on their own. These moments can teach the most valuable lessons.

My biggest regret: My biggest regret is being shy for most of high school. I wish I would have put myself out there more in previous years.

Next year: Attending college for Chemistry and working to enter the Forensics field.

Elliot Carpenter is the son of Ann and Chad Carpenter of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: National Honor Society, Honor Roll, Band, Track, Robotics, and Eagle Scout.

If I were principal for a day: I would give everyone a day off.

Favorite school memory: Going to Louisville with the Jazz Band.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: Family.

Lately, I have been reading: “Band of Brothers” By Stephen E. Ambrose

My advice to parents: Take some time for yourself to be your best self.

My biggest regret: None.

Next year: Enrolled in college.

Congratulations!
