Wednesday, Troy Ragland, 54, of Bellefontaine, was arrested after being found unconscious in his truck at a campground on State Route 540.

Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call reporting a male passed out in a running truck next to his camper at approximately 5:54 PM.

Upon arrival, they found Ragland, who appeared to be unconscious and slumped over the center console of his black Ram truck.

The truck was still running, and the man was unresponsive at first.

After a brief period, Ragland was able to speak, although his speech was slurred and difficult to understand.

He admitted to drinking vodka earlier in the day.

During the search of Ragland’s truck, law enforcement found a cup with a small amount of liquid that smelled of vodka, along with a half-empty bottle in the back seat.

Ragland failed field sobriety tests and refused a breath test.

He was arrested for Physical Control of a Vehicle while impaired and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he again refused to provide a breath or urine sample.

Ragland was issued a citation for Physical Control under Ohio Revised Code 4511.194 and an open container violation under Ohio Revised Code 4301.64 and was also cited for a probation violation.
