Raiders split with Kenton; BMS sweeps Indian Lake – Area girls basketball results

The Benjamin Logan varsity team lost to Kenton 58-42.

Mia Stahler led the way with 11 points and Cheyanne Peterson chipped in with 8 points.

The JV Lady Raiders beat Kenton 28-23.

Leading the way was Rylan Norviel with 20 points.

Both teams travel to another non-league game at Springfield City Wednesday night with JV starting at 6:00 pm.

Middle School Basketball

The Bellefontaine 7th grade girls’ team defeated Indian Lake 24-10.

Pacing the Lady Chiefs was Amari Hunsicker with 9 points. Sloan Stolly chipped in 6 points. Joy Fogan and Vanessa Friedrich combined for 7 points.

Ava Oppy played a strong overall game with a bucket, and team-high 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

For the Lady Lakers, Rya Pequignot led with 4 points.

Bellefontaine will travel to Ben Logan Monday night.

In the 8th grade matchup, Bellefontaine topped Indian Lake 41-13.

Leading the Chiefs was Hailee Lamb with 14 points and 6 steals.

Emma Whitaker and Grace Brown chipped in with 10 points and Brown snagged 5 steals.

Presley Vigansky added 4 points and Sophia Jacobs with 3 points.

Bellefontaine was strong on the glass with Paige Smith grabbing 5 rebounds, Vigansky tallying 5, and Alivia Wage snagging 4.

Hannah Wilson played good defense as well.

Leading the way for Indian Lake was Tarrah Beltz with 5 points.

The Lady Chiefs are back in action next Monday at Benjamin Logan.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade girls’ team ran past Mechanicsburg 29-9.
