The 31st Annual Run to Educate drew a record crowd Friday night, with 162 runners hitting the course under clear skies.

The event, always held on the second Friday in August, raises money for teacher grants and student scholarships through the Logan County Education Foundation.

This year’s top male finisher was Hayden Maus, and the top female was Hannah Metzger.

Both received medals and a fresh-baked pie from Bake My Day Bakery.

Founded in 1989, the Logan County Education Foundation supports teachers and students in the county’s four public school districts.
