Belle Center is ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in style on Friday with a full day of events, fun, and community camaraderie.
The festivities begin bright and early with a pancake breakfast served by the American Legion Auxiliary from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building.
At 11:00 a.m., parade participants will line up at Richland Township Park on School Street, with the parade rolling through town at noon.
This year’s parade Grand Marshals are:
- Jim Day (the first Chief of BMRT in 1974)
- Lois Day
- Dolores Fults
- Nancy Millisor
- Rick White
- Patty White
- Ron Smith
Fireworks committee member Greg Fitzpatrick says:
Kids won’t want to miss the pedal tractor pull at 3:00 p.m., followed by DJ and karaoke with Chris from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the shelter house.
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., enjoy WAR wrestling, and cap off the day with Logan County’s best fireworks show, voted the county favorite, lighting up the night sky at dark.
Throughout the day, concessions, games, and plenty of community spirit will be available.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the festivities comfortably.
Please note, golf carts are not allowed in the park, but designated motorcycle parking is available.
The fireworks show, a spectacular 25-minute display, is made possible by the hard work and dedication of more than 30 people on the fireworks committee, including 14 who actively set off the fireworks.
Fitzpatrick says you won’t want to miss the display:
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the reverse raffle fundraiser that helps finance the event.
Thanks to their efforts, more than $30,000 was raised—a 10% increase from last year.
With extra funds this year, the Belle Center Fireworks Committee proudly donated $4,000 to the Logan County Animal Shelter for the construction of a new kennel.
The check was presented to Logan County Dog Warden Jacob Boyd, who expressed his gratitude for the community’s support.
