On Friday at noon, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce helped Calvary Christian School (CCS) celebrate a momentous occasion – the grand opening of its new building on County Road 9 in Bellefontaine.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together students, staff, and community members to commemorate the school’s exciting move to a new location.
The event marked a significant transition for CCS, as the school’s long-time campus on Rush Avenue closed its doors at the end of December, after 45 years of service.
Over the month-long Christmas break, staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to relocate the school’s operations, and due to snow cancellations, Thursday was the first day in the new building.
Ryan Hyde, Head of School, talks about the new facility and is thankful for where the school is today:
The school currently has 485 students enrolled, has hired more than 25 staff in the last few years, and has room to grow.
Phase three planning has begun with the growth of the school.
They hope that more buildings will be able to be added to the 40-acre property giving them space to accommodate more growth, including possibly adding a field house with the grown Spartan sports programs.
