Riverside BOE Renews Treasurer Contract; New Board Leadership

The Riverside Board of Education met in both organizational and regular meetings on Monday night.

District Treasurer Ronnie Fitzpatrick swore in board members Blaine Dixon and Steve Klinger.

Janet Siders was elected Board President while Mark Zumberger was elected vice president.

All regular meetings are set for the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

In regular session, Middle School/ High School Principal Kelly Kauffman gave a short report that Snowball celebrations are underway this week. With it being a shortened week, the Snowball pep rally will take place on Tuesday.

Bryce Hodge gave the elementary report and said that testing would soon be underway.

The board went on to approve the substitute classified list, the MRESC substitute list, and accepted the resignation of Rebecca Rappold as teacher at the end of the 2023-2024 contracted school year due to retirement.

The 2024-2025 course catalog was approved and the Riverside Local School District calendar was also approved.

Wrapping up the meeting, the board unanimously voted to employ Ronnie Fitzpatrick on a five-year executive contract as Treasurer of schools effective August 1st, 2025 through July 31st, 2030 pursuant to the contract terms and conditions as presented.
