Riverside reviews budget and approves trips

The Riverside Board of Education met Tuesday evening in DeGraff.

High School Principal Kelly Kauffman opened the meeting, sharing how much she enjoys her role and the people she works alongside.

 

In other board news, members heard a quick grounds update from Superintendent Scott Mann, reviewed the district’s budget forecast, and reported that the district received a 3.5 out of 5 on the state’s report card, an increase of .5 from last year.

The board then entered executive session to discuss building security.

Also, two out-of-state trips for students were approved:

  • October 28–30, 2025: FFA will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the National Conference.
  • May 5–10, 2026: Business Professionals of America (BPA) will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the National Conference.

Additionally, the board accepted a $1,250 donation from the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

The next regular Riverside Board of Education meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the district library.
