Honorable Mention – Corwin Bell, Gavin Orsborne, and Landon Purtee

Yoder also highlighted the girl’s golf team’s season accomplishments to the board. Yoder said that this year’s team ended up with an overall record of 63-22, besting the record for wins in a season by more than 20. The team was the Three Rivers Conference champion and was the first team in school history to qualify for the district tournament. Members of this year’s team are Zoie Armbruster, Kirstyn Carpenter, Ava Klingler, Cassie May, Reaghan McDaniel, and Emma Saylor. The coaches are Rod Yoder, Amy McDaniel, and Jason Yoder.

Middle and High School principal Kelly Kauffman reported that the district recently had its National Honors Society induction ceremony on October 19th. The County induction ceremony was held on November 8th. There were 22 new inductees to the nationwide program.

She also passed along that the district continues to see positive results from the newly incorporated Collins Writing Program. The program emphasizes classroom reading and writing by reinforcing the importance of both in a rapidly technology-oriented world.

Kauffman discusses the Colling Writing Program:

The board also voted current board vice president Janet Siders as President Pro-Tem for the 2024 organizational meeting.

The board will meet again on December 18th at 6:00 PM in the district library.
