Rotarians learn about robots from Benjamin Logan Robotics Club

Submitted by Sally Stolly

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club met Monday and Rotarians heard a presentation from Claire Rhodes and Paul Gantt from the Benjamin Logan Robotic’s Club.

Claire is the Robotics Club President and Paul is the Vice President.

The students talked about the after-school program for students interested in STEM careers and shared how the club helps them develop life skills necessary to succeed and to be employable in STEM jobs, which are some of the fastest growing in the country.

Claire and Paul shared information about the FIRST Tech Challenge and the National Robotics Challenge.

These events are robotics competitions in which students can apply problem-solving, programming, critical thinking, and teamwork as they practice engineering and design skills.
