A 59-year-old man from rural Roundhead was arrested Monday following a joint investigation by the FBI and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office into child pornography.
Mark Butterman was taken into custody on federal charges of receiving and distributing child sexual abuse material.
After his arrest, he was transported by the FBI to Toledo, where he was formally arraigned in federal court.
The arrest is part of a broader federal investigation targeting the online spread of child exploitation content.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office assisted federal agents during the operation on Monday.
Authorities have not released additional details, citing the ongoing nature of the case.
