On Wednesday evening, a traffic stop in Bellefontaine led to the arrest of a man on drug charges.
Around 6:00 p.m., Bellefontaine Police saw a gray GMC truck make an improper turn onto South Main Street and initiated a stop.
The driver, identified as Craig Combs, 45, of Quincy, admitted he did not have a valid license.
During the encounter, Combs appeared overly nervous and told officers he was on parole.
With Combs’ consent, officers searched his vehicle.
Inside the driver’s door panel, officers found a bag of suspected methamphetamine.
Combs was placed under arrest and then admitted to using methamphetamine.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he was lodged on possession of methamphetamine.
The suspected drugs tested positive for the drug.
